I travel quite a bit for work throughout WTX, and I?m fascinated by so many dilapidated structures I see. I call them ?Ghost Structures?. This one caught my attention because of the condition of the building, its immediate surroundings with fallen trees, of which, one of them seemed uprooted by the recent strong winds. The dirt/sand?s red/orange coloration is incredibly beautiful and seemed to blend with the colors of the dilapidated remnants of the building. The gray skies provided great

Title or Location: The Petroleum Building on N Texas Ave in Midland TX
The Petroleum Building is probably one of my favorites in the Permian basin. I've always gravitated towards this building and have an winter series on it on my Facebook account. I love any old large building, even more so when the light hits it just right.

    Title or Location: Odessa TC
This is an older building that reminds of peak 60s oilfield here in the basin. I like driving around Odessa an otherwise unassuming town and take shots of the old building that are still standing the test of time. This one Ive passed many times and didn't think much of it until we here driving around wasting a roll of film waiting on a bakery shoot, it was a gloomy day and kind of chilly. It just looked right thru the lens. I shot this on a Mintola SRT 101 with a 28mm lens! The film is Phoenix

People often wonder why I bring such a large lens to the Zoo. I used a Sony G lens with a focal length of 300-600mm for this shot. When I visit the San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido, my objective is to take pictures that don't feel like they were taken at the zoo. In this case, the close-up of the tiger does just that, and you are brought into his focus. You can feel the intensity of his stare!Never stop capturing the moments!

I am new to photography, and this was my very first attempt at a golden hour sunset photo. I had arrived plenty early to set up, but quickly got discouraged because I could not seem to get the exposure right when shooting into the sun. Just when I was ready to give up, the sun got low enough, and suddenly everything exploded with color. I was very happy with the photo at first, but now wish I had moved more to my left so I could cut the bridge out of the image. That white thing across the wa
